GamerX is a browser game arcade. That is the whole idea: a page full of small, complete games that open the moment you click them, with no install, no account, and no email address required. There are 45 games in the arcade right now, spanning racing, puzzle, runner, and quick-break categories.
We build some of these games ourselves. Others are adapted from open, freely available browser game projects that we think deserve a good home and a wider audience, credited in each game's own description where their origin is known. You can read more about how that works on our game credits and licensing page.
Why free browser games
A lot of games ask for a lot before you have even played them: an app store account, a download, a sign-up form, a permissions prompt. We think that gets in the way of the actual point, which is a few minutes of something fun. So every game here works the same way: click, play, close the tab when you are done.
The journal
We also write about the games we build and the ones we host, on the GamerX journal. Guides, honest recommendations sorted by mood or time, and notes on how specific game mechanics work under the hood.
