The 45 games in the GamerX arcade come from two places. Some are built in-house by the GamerX team. Others are adapted from open, freely available browser game projects, sometimes with substantial changes to art, mechanics, or code, sometimes closer to a direct port. GamerX hosts and publishes every game in the arcade, which is a separate thing from having originally built every game.
How we credit adapted games
Where a game's original creator or project is known, we credit it in that game's own description on its play page, in plain language rather than a buried footnote. If a game's page does not mention an outside origin, our understanding is that it is original GamerX work, but we are actively reviewing older listings to make sure that is accurately and consistently stated across the whole catalog.
If a credit is missing or wrong
If you created, co-created, or hold rights to a game hosted on GamerX and the credit is missing, incomplete, or incorrect, we want to fix that quickly. Two outcomes are on the table once we hear from you: we update the credit and license information to what you tell us is accurate, or, if you would rather the game not be hosted here at all, we take it down.
- Email hello@gamerx.live with the game name and a link to your original project or a way to verify your claim.
- Tell us whether you want a correction (name, license, link) or a takedown.
- We will confirm by email once it is handled, not just make the change silently.
Trademarks
Some games on GamerX are fan tributes or reimaginings that reference third-party trademarks or characters. Those trademarks belong to their respective owners, GamerX does not claim any rights to them, and any such game will be removed promptly on a valid request from the rights holder.
